It's getting close to decision time for most teams. Tommorow is the day that teams make choices that either pay dividends or plainly blow. Let's take a look at some draft news around the league.

  • Peter Gammons has a great piece on his blog titled, "3 Questions about the Draft." It takes a look at success rates, where players come from, and the gene pool of the draft. Like always, a very good read from Gammons.
  • Kevin Goldstein of Baseball Prospectus has another mock draft out. Some interesting notes include Aaron Crow falling to the 11th spot to the Rangers, Buster Posey going to the Rays with the first pick and Zach Collier falling all the way to the 24th spot to the Phillies. With Posey going first, Goldstein has Tim Beckham going to the Pirates. Pedro Alvarez is an interesting scenario for the Royals. I could see them moving him to first or the outfield in the future.
  • 9 news in Colorado has a good piece on Colorado ace Tyler Sample. Colorado has seen a lot of young aces make it to the bigs. Scott Elarton and Roy Halladay are a few names.
We will be here tonight to talk more draft eve rumors. Right now, not much is swirling. It is possible we could see Eric Hosmer go to the Royals with the third pick. That could create a swirl throughout the rest of the first round. We will talk about that and others scenarios tonight.
