MLB.com's Jonathon Mayo is reporting that the Reds will take Gordon Beckham with the 7th pick. I had a feeling this was going to happen. I had Beckham selected by the Reds in my second go around of the mock draft. Beckham could be off the boards at pick number 5. It has been rumored the Giants have interest in the slugging shortstop. I like this move by the Reds. They have been looking for a solid middle infielder since Barry Larkin's retirement.
