Matt Garza was nearly unstoppable in May. With a 4-1 record and a 2.52 ERA, last month, Garza should be near 100 % owned. Guess what though? It's your lucky day. Garza is only owned by 4% of ESPN Leagues. With his change up finally coming around and his team's offense has given him a bit of support. With the Rays clicking, why not go with Garza?
Garza, the 2005 first round pick of the Twins, had a horrible April, in which he gave up 11 runs in 13 innings of work. He wasn't able to muster a win, and many fantasy gurus gave up on him. He isn't suffering anymore so give him a shot right now if you need a pitcher.
Garza brings a mid 90s fastball to the plate with an average slider, a great changeup and a curve that can sometimes be nasty. Garza was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays this off-season for Delmon Young.
