Roberts to Cubs Unlikely: Who are the real suitors?

Category: , By Dex
Andy McPhail and Peter Angelos are at it again people. First, it was taking their good ol' time finalizing the Bedard deal, soaking the best talent possible out of the Mariners. Now it seems, the Cubs will miss out On Brian Roberts, simply because the Orioles are too picky.

Don't get me wrong, I think it is in the best interest of the Orioles to look to top tier talent, especially during the rebuilding process, but what the cubs are offering is a great bang for the buck. The Cubs offered up four top prospects for Roberts, including hard throwing youngster, Jose Ceda, Shortstop Ronny Cedeno and top prospects Donnie Veal and Sean Gallagher. Turning down this deal makes me wonder who else is in the running for the Oriole's second Baseman.

Lets take a look around the Net to see what people are talking about:

It seems that the Orioles are content on keeping him until the right deal falls through. Knowing the Orioles, they could sign him to a long term deal.
